Tolu Ayoka (they/ them is a visual artist and illustrator whose work serves as an ode to their inner child through otherworldly explorations of Black and West African identities in alternative spaces. Guided by muses from both life and beyond, Tolu takes their audience on a journey into supernatural realms filled with vibrant elements of surrealism, Afrocentrism, and Black queer culture.
Their work bridges personal history with collective experience, making the obscure feel less isolating and more intimate— inviting others to find themselves behind that veil.
